7 series Hydrogen
Could any one tell me whats the next step of the BMW hydrogen plan??? will BMW go on to research and to make this kind of propulsion system widely applied?

Right now its still in the testing phase with basically Beta testers, if you will. Once enough data has been collected in this process regarding the feasability of hydrogen powered hybrid vehicles, they will either can the idea or continue on with mass production, or at least scale production up past a handfull of examples.

yeah but as far as i know its certainly feasible, coz BMW has already produced one and all magazine reported the test drive about that car, the major problem is that the distribution of the hydrogen fuel and the cost, but now to what extent they have solved these problems?
The big evolution of the automotive industry, i hope that will happen soon...

Feasability takes into account much more than the ability to make and test drive a car. They are looking into the long term asset of the car, the ability to sell them at a profit, the money lost on maitenence/repairs/etc. Its nice to think that BMW wants to do good by the enviroment, but we have to remeber, they are still a company whose primary goal is financial fiduciary duty to the shareholders and workers of the company. Therefore, they need to be able to turn a profit first, help the planet second.
Also, while I agree hydrogen is a nice step, I doubt calling it the next big wave in automotive technology. Its nice and all, but really, its far to expensive to mass produce anytime in the near to semi near future. I think our first big step are the new diesel motors, which seem to be the proper way forward in clean burning, efficient fuel motors. Hydrogen cars are nice, but still a ways off on the mass (as in large scale production across the board) scale.

My understanding is that they didn't really make any hydrogen powered 7s with the E23 line, but they were starting to look into them. Everything I've read as the current line of 750hL test cars are the real road going deal, and most likely what their hydrogen cars will be. Could be wrong, though. Never really have ever been in the 7 line, most of my focus has been on the 3s, 5s, and 6s.
