thinking of opening a shop

i realize this forum is pretty dead, but i'll take a stab anyway:

i'm thinking of opening a repair shop here in texas.
anyone have a good idea of how much capital i need?
there's 4 of us total that are going in on this in the next year or two, and i'd like any extra advice or w/e that anyone has.
yes, there will be a lawyer before we open to decide how the partnership will work. i know that one already.

Re: thinking of opening a shop

you'll need about 10 years' experience in the industry.

capital? a lot. $300,000 upwards for all the lifts, outfitting, tools and such. and then you have the cost of the building. which varies greatly depending on where and what kind of building.
