dash lights...
my 1991 honda prelude si 2.1L had a electrical problem and i brought it into a mechanic and he fixed my tail lights. But my dashboard lights don't work still, and he said it was because the circuit board behind the dash is burned out. Does anyone know where i can get a new circuitboard for it, aside from a junkyard?
Thanks |

Re: dash lights...
Well first, do you trust the mechanic?
Second, honda should have the wiring schematics for the dash online. Just take a 5 amp fuse(you want it to be low so it will blow out) and test the lines going up to the dash. Of course thare are tools that measure the current flowing through wires, but im guessing you don't have em. Just saying make sure that what he says is out is out before you go replacing something that might not change anything. The older the car the more careful you have to be.

Re: dash lights...
i do trust the mechanic, but i don't know if he truly wants to do the job. i wouldn't (thats why i brought it into a mechanic :P) i just cant find a schematics anywhere. for my car. see all the other lights on the dash work except the lights on the speedometer, tach, climate control. like i said, seatbelt, brake, etc. lights work. Hell, the Transmission lights next to the stick doesnt even illuminate.
