Locking Mechanism Issue

My car just gotten broken into, and it is because of my faulty locking mechnaism. When I press the button to lock my door w/ my keyless entry the mechanism sounds like it locks several times; sometimes it locks, most of the time it doesn't. If anyone has had the same issue and resolved it please let me know before i loose another deck.
