Horse & Torque estimate?

89 5.0 w/TFS heads, port & polished cobra intake, 70mm throttle body-mass air to match, 24lb injectors, cold air induction, K&N filter, 1 5/8" headers w/hi-flow exhaust, flowmasters, underdrive pulleys, and 3:55 gears. Just wondering how much horsepower this might produce. Thanks.

Re: Horse & Torque estimate?

Which TFS heads do you have? I'd say around 280 maybe more depending on the heads. The right cam will really help take advantage of those mods.

Re: Horse & Torque estimate?

yea it's hard to say without knowing what cam your running and how good the heads flow, but i'd say your pretty quick if you have the right size cam. are you tuned yet?

That was the first thing I thought of.

If we're talking about AFR 165s and a stock cam, I'd guess 250-280rwhp depending on how well it's tuned.

9:1, that is going to kill your power!

9:1 is almost perfect for boost application, not N/A. If your N/A I would run at least 10.3:1 for better power.

You could stay with 19lbs for this engine, they are good for 325hp easy.

Re: Horse & Torque estimate?

go to the track and see what you run. then you could estimate with one of those hp calculators.
