Cool Highway 61 Spanish Red 1967 Olds 442 PICS

Highway 61 = Cool......

The 67 Olds 442 from Highway 61 is cool. I mean, what else do you call a heavy, well replicated diecast body? What else do you call an ultra smooth "stop light" red paint job? Cool right? What else do you call a detailed, wired & plumbed 400 V8 with dual snorkel tubes fastened to the air cleaner on one end and intake ducts above and below the parking lights? What else do you call the miniature hood release latch found on the front grille? Cool. What else do you call an opening trunk with trunk labels, spare tire, trunk mat & a rear mounted and wired battery? You guessed it, cool.

What else do you call a lavishly detailed interior with detailed door panels and door locks, detailed bucket seats that fold and slide forward, detailed steering wheel, detailed dash finished in chrome plating, plus an opening glovebox & center console? What else do you call full interior carpeting plus a detailed headliner with moveable sun visors that seals off the interior, accented with c pillar mounted left & right side interior lamps? You'd better believe its cool. What else do you call realistic door hinges and spring loaded hood hinges? What else do you call the functioning front & rear suspension and the rotating driveshaft? Damn cool!!

In a nutshell, what else do you call Highway 61? You're absolutely right....COOL!!! Now check out these cool pics.......

Awesome
The detail is amazing. The only thing I don't like is the wipers. Why is it so hard for companys to make the wipers look good?

OH MAN!!! Highway 61 always comes through for their followers. That is one nicely detailed car. I'm getting their "Hurst Hairy Olds", the one with the double engine. What other's do you have and did you get that from Kevin?

Hey DVS

I'm on the east coast, in Maryland...you know, where the "serial sniper" is? I normally get my cars from National Diecasters in Dothan Alabama. Tom is a GREAT guy to deal with and hes got a HUGE business. Other than dealing exclusively with him online (for the most part), I have a really great guy local to me in Maryland that I get most of my cars from. Plus I try to work with a few of the manufacturers from time to time. I have a few inside connections at a few different places that always help.

What other cars do I have? Oh man you have to be kidding. I don't have a VAST collection, but I'm currently displaying over 180 1/18 scale cars.....lots of new stuff, lots of hot stuff, and lots of high detail stuff. If you haven't checked out my site, you have GOT to do that SOON. You'll want to pay particular attention to the Photo Gallery. I have an extensive gallery of 1/18 diecast (mainly if not all muscle cars...sorry, budget isn't big enough for anything else) and then I have alot of photos archived in webshots galleries. It's a MUST SEE!!! Just go to my site by clciking here - DetoursDiecast and then go to the Photo Gallery.

Some of my favorite current purchases have been the Highway 61 67 Olds 442, Lanes Viking Blue 72 Olds 442, the Precision 100 64 Ford Thunderbolt, and oh yeah, my Highway 61 Hurst Hairy Olds.

Check these out!!!!

Yep! That's the bad boy I'm getting. I have about 150-80 cars or at least very soon to be. I have them posted in the gallery on AF. Click the link at the top of the Diecast forum to view them. I collect all sorts of 1:18's.

Oh, and I'm in New York City. I'm glad they caught the sniper now.
