Rear Shocks on a 91 PA

I know that there is probable a Thread in here somewhere on my issue, but I can't locate it. The dynaride system on my 91 PA giving me problems, pump runs way to often. Is there a way to replace these shock with a non air type system such as Monroe, or Gabriel, etc..I have been told that new shocks for this system is quite expensive.
Thanks..

The rear "air assist" struts are not that expensive, MONROE Part # 71798 {SENSA-TRAC STRUT} REAR $67.89. Click here
Click here , Here & Here FMI on struts.

Don't rule out your ELC relay, as it could cause your pump to run constantly as well!

If it's the shocks and you decide to replace them I have a bunch of pictures from when I did it on my 91 PA a few weeks ago.

Re: Rear Shocks on a 91 PA

Sarotara or Skeeter,

Could you send me the pictures too, I am about to tackle the struts on my 92 PA Ultra. Would it be possible to put the pictures in this forum so that all can see without requesting an email?

Thanks.

I own a 92 park Ave I had the same problem with. It even got the conpressor to fill the air shocks so hot it would blow the fuze powering the shocks. My answer was to buy two new Monroe lifetime guarantee air shocks and have a reliable shop do the work. It cost me less that $125 and I can load the trunk now and have the car ride level, even though the pump now only works when I put extra weight in the car. Try um, you'll like them!!!! I sure do. Haven't had a single problem since I did that either!
