Is there supposed to be a gasket on the lower thermostat housing?
The thermostat itself has a gasket that seats into the housing but the housing won't go flush against the block. The bottom bolt will bring it in but the top bolt leaves a gap. I'm afraid to crank down on the top bolt for fear of cracking the plastic housing. Anyone have any experience with this???
