2003 ENVOY XL ABS Light
I just bought the 03 Envoy and so far love it. After changing all the fluids, I started the vehicle while off the ground and went through the various drive modes. During this process the ABS light came on. Any tips as to what might have caused this or how to remedy would be greatly appreciated.
Great forum....Dave |

Re: 2003 ENVOY XL ABS Light
Welcome to AF. You should have this scanned on an abs function scanner for coder and wheel speed sensor inputs, for a proper diagnosis. Did you have all 4 wheels off the ground in 4wd or just the rear in 2wd. You may have set the code doing that, see if it goes out after a couple of drive cycles.

Re: 2003 ENVOY XL ABS Light
Thanks kindly for the quick response.
Initially I had it in two wheel drive (whiel elevated) and then switched into 4-wheel. I noticed that the front right wheel wasn't spinning so I gave it a bit of a nudge and I believe thats when the ABS light came on. By the way, the wheel didn't start spinng. I suspect there may be some kind of limited slip on the front. I'll drive it around for a while and report how it fairs. Thanks...Dave |

Moderator, thanks again for the info....a trip around the block cleared the ABS light.
