Hello, I saw a 1999 Chevy S-10 extended cab V6 AUTO for sale near my house, its a really nice truck, but it has some miles on it, about 136K, and they want $6800 for it. Its been repainted Black and they are advertising it as an Xtreme S10, but it doesnt have any of the badges on it. How could I tell if its really an Xtreme S10 or not just a regular S-10 with a body kit? What are the actual differences from both models besides the body kit? It already has Sony CD player, an AIRAID intake system, a really nice cat-back exhaust and aftermarket wheels. Thank you

Re: How to identify a replica Xtreme?
You need to look for the RPO code! Its in the glovebox somewhere and should read "V4A". Here are a couple of links to help explain it...

Re: How to identify a replica Xtreme?
Holy Cow!!! It is an authentic Xtreme!!! I looked at the RPO code's label on the glove box, and the VIN# matches so the glove box belongs to the truck, and its got both V4A & ZQ8
What had me thinking is that it doesnt have any of the badges, not even the "Chevrolet" badge on the tail gate. BTW, I did buy the truck last week, cuz even if it wasnt authentic its a really nice truck for the price ($6000, i kept on negotiating with the seller), keeping in mind that its got the Flowmaster cat-back and the Air-Aid intake, thank you so much!!!
