'97 VR4 vs. Jet-Powered....

JET!

Ok so in my town we have a road that runs parallel to one of the runways at the Rochester Int'l Airport for about a half mile. So I was driving down it today, I look over to my right, and I see this jet sitting at the start of the runway looking like he wanted some. So I rev'd my engine at him to let him know i'm game, and he spooled his twin-jets right back at me. So I yell out, "let's go from a 40 roll!!", he nods and starts movin. As soon as we hit 40 we both punch it! I was in 2nd, so my car throws me back in my seat, I look over to see I gained a nose on him to 65 mph. I shift and he gets the nose back! All through 3rd gear we're pretty much even up to 100 mph, but I pulled a nose at the last second, and turned on the flashers. There was traffic up ahead in my lane so I had to quickly shut down. I look over to give thumbs up, and what does the f*cker do? A ricer flyby!

(i did actually race the jet, but we didn't actually communicate and i didn't throw on the flashers lol)

Re: '97 VR4 vs. Jet-Powered....

it beat a srt-10 viper, so it moves pretty fast once it gets going. even a 747 does 150 before leaving the ground

Yeah they do once they get going, they gotta get up above 100 pretty quick to take off. It was a smaller one...with the tips of the wings tilted up, don't know what kind.

lol i figured someone would get a kick out of it. I've always compared my VR4 acceleration to the two times i've flown in my life. The acceleration on take-off is all I remember, I was shocked something so big could put me back in my seat so hard.
