Thinking about getting a nice sound system for my 1995 sable

Hello.
This is my second thread in this forum regarding my car, the first one is lost somewhere in LaLa land because perhaps it was too vague and uninsteresting, but I will do a better job now.
Anyways, the first big change i would like to do in this car is a sound system, so far I bought this dash receiver.

Love the idea of being able to hook up a USB external hardrive to this unit and well it looks pretty cool too. I should have it available for pictures sometime next week. I 've been looking into replacing the stock speakers too so far these are the ones i have liked for the car.

and also, by reading around i found that this little gizmo would allow me to keep the controls that are closer to me.

Now I havent decided on which amplifier would be nice for this sound system, I would like to add subwoofers in my trunk too but i don't know how that works. Any help would be appreciated as here is where i get lost. I know an amp would improve the sound of those speakers i have planned on getting but if i was to get an amp then I wanna get one with enough watts for a pair subwoofers...
Am i in the right track? Please any help would be appreciated.
