synchro

when i shift into 1st gear and start to take off it pops out of first and goes into nuetral so do i need new synchronizers

yeh, you do need new syncros i got the same problem but it doesnt happen all the time.

it sounds like it could also be a bad Throw out bearing. If it was a bad synchro wouldnt it grind going into gear?

yah it doesnt grind at all when i put it into first But it will grind if i hold it into first when taking off and it wants to go into nuetral haha.. It doesnt pop out all the time but probaly 75% of the time.. so i dont know
