passager side axle shaft removal?

do i need to take off the front parts to the upper and lower control arms to remove the axle shaft our just the 3 bolts behind the brake caliper? im trying to get to the seal to replace.

What year and what side and what seal are you replacing?

ok i got it off.. now how do i get the old seal out? its a 2000 chevy s10 pickup 4x4.
