f'd something up..

oil pan, how do you take it off a LT1? i think i broke the oil level sensor inside the pan.. do i have to take out the engine to take off the pan? how do i do this shit..

fuck im so pissed off!

I'm no LT1 owner, but can't you just take the bolts off and slide it out to one side if somethings in the way?... Suspension or crossmember under it or something?

yeah:/ its like the rack and pinion thing is right in front of it.. and theres a brace(idk what you call it?) going all the way RIGHT under the oil pan...so like how theres the deep part of the pan and the shallow part? the shallow part is maybe (if youre lucky) .5" away from the brace... and doesnt the crank shaft go INTO the pan? if it does, there would be no clearance i think..to take the pan off :/

The motor has to go up atleast 3-4" I do believe.

So here's what you need to do then... You need to get a jack under your motor somewhere besides the oil pan and get it right to it to support it in place. Pull your motor mounts and then jack it up the necessary distance to let the oil pan clear the stuff in the way... At least that seems like the easiest solution to me.
