Engine Swap

hey nobody has really been able to answer me on the s10 threads so i figured id ask you guys. i have a 1988 s10 4x4 with a 2.8. ive heard some people say that it is difficult to swap out the 2.8 and put a chevy small block in. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and how hard of a job it would be. thanks for any help.
