Dude, just go look in the philosphy forum and read what was said. The evidence is OVERWHELMING, religion was used to explain the unknown. You can't disprove carbon dating, dinosaurs, evidence of evolution, et cetera. Whatever, I'll admit it; I'm right, i'm not going to post in this topic anymore.

I believe in God. God did allow it. I'm not going to argue that. Satan caused it. I'm not going to argue that. But God has a plan for everything...we'll just have to see what happens in the future. Sometimes 1000 people will die, and, because of it, 10,000 will get saved. Things like this really tend to unite people.

its true, today in my religion class my teacher was saying that even though this great tragedy happened, there is an overwhelming sense of peace and hope, it seems to unite the american, and wold population together. as you may have noticed i do believe in God and that there is a better life after this one. but MBTN i wouldn't go around saying that 99% of the world pop. is wrong for believing in a supreme being. don't go around saying that we are wrong and you know the truth. none of us really know the truth and probably won't until the next life. but since you don't believe in God, there is no next life for you, just black...

One bonus for Christians.....Joe is Christian, John is atheist. If John is right, both of them die and neither of them find out if they were right or wrong. If Joe is right, both of them die, and Joe gets to feel good he was right and go to heaven, while John has forever in hell to wonder why he didn't believe.

Since this post's title was so direct, I'll post. I definitely believe in God. I've done some recent soul searching, and cannot believe anything to the contrary. To MBTN, I'm not going to damn you to hell, I have to disagree with you. I don't see why God can't use evolution. The creation took place in 7 days. I don't believe those days were the same days as ours. Dinosaurs and evolution are completely possible with God at the helm of creation. The statement that God brought for man from dirt. Think about to whom God is speaking. He is speaking to the Jews who's contemporaries are the Greeks who explain thunder by Zeus! Do you think they know about bacteria and all sorts of other microscopic stuff? No. You just have to take a different perspective and realize when the Bible was written. That said, I want you, MBTN and any others of you disagreeing with me, that I do understand where you are coming from and I will NOT force my views upon you or damn you to hell. About today's tragedy.... Read the book of Job (if you have the time!). God has blessed many of us, especially those of us in the US, with many, many gifts (computers, cars, etc...). God gave us these blessings and he is just as capable of taking them away. My prayers go out to all those involved and may God protect and bless all of you...
