Tach Movement at idle

My 2006 tach will move up and down about 50rpm when it idles or at a stop. It is pretty noticeable and if my brake isn't firmly planted it could move slighly. Is this normal? I think it is not. Still under warranty TG.

Re: Tach Movement at idle

Try adding a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank and give it about 100 miles to do its thing.

You may also want to check the back side of the throttle plate for a build up of carbon. If you notice carbon, get some throttle body cleaner designed for coated throttle bodies and clean the carbon. Also, check the Idle Air Control servo for carbon in the valve portion and clean if dirty.

I'll take that as not normal. I'll take it to the dealer since this is covered under the warranty. Thanks!
