'93 C1500 Brakes pulling to the right
I have a '93 C1500 W/T with a 4.3L and a 5 speed manual. The brake were pulling to the right and "jumping" when stopping. I checked the front caliper guides and they looked well lubed and in good shape. I checked the operation of the calipers by having my son push on the brakes. Only the right caliper moved. The left seemed stuck. So I replaced the left caliper, pads, and rotors (in bad shape). Guess what, the truck still pulls to the right when braking. It seems to straighten up after a second or two. I plan to check my bleeding job on that new caliper and repeat the same test I did with my son before I replaced the caliper. Does anyone have any suggestions? I did no work on the rear brakes, could this also be the problem?

Re: '93 C1500 Brakes pulling to the right
Replace the right caliper; the piston is starting to sieze up. It will get worse over time, causing the rotor to overheat and possbly warp. If you also still feel the pulsing through the brake pedal, replace/machine that rotor as well. And, you might as well install the new pads on that side as well; no point in having a new set of pads gathering dust.

Re: '93 C1500 Brakes pulling to the right
A bad brake line (the rubber part) can cause a pull. The inside of the rubber line collapses causing pressure to increase as the fluid is pushed through the smaller opening.

How are the rear drums? When you mean "jumping" do you mean the bed hops during braking?

Re: '93 C1500 Brakes pulling to the right
Yes, like when the rotors or drums are warped. I have already changed the fronts so I guess the rear drums are warped. I've had front discs do that but never the drums. I guess I'll see if I can get them turned.

Re: '93 C1500 Brakes pulling to the right
I replaced the left front brake hose assembly and the pull has gone away. 2 down 2 to go.
