'93 C1500 Turn signal flashing rapidly

I have '93 C1500 truck with a 4.3L and a 5 speed manual. The turn signals were flashing rapidly. I replaced a burnt out turn signal/brake light bulb, and checked all of the others. All of the bulbs work now but there flasher is still very rapid. Would using the incorrect flasher unit cause this or do you all have any other ideas. Also, the reverse light are not working although the bulbs test out fine.

Thank you
