Jacques Villeneuve 2006 BMW Sauber

Being a Villeneuve fan I was very happy when I seen this at my LHS today
so I had to buy it! lol
progress soon. but heres a few pics.

looks like a really nice kit! I'll make the Canadain GP car, since the kit includes all the parts and decals for that one.

Cool James, I'll be watching this one. Not only because I'm a Canadian and a Villeneuve fan but I was at the 2006 Canadian Grand Prix. Looks like a nice kit.

Why oh why don't they disconect nose from the rest of the kit, I hate those holes in the places where the hole shouldn't be.

I am looking forward thou to the build, Toyota came out very good so this BMW should be even better, I love that car, if only Tamiya would do new F1 car.

Looks like Revell's F1 kits have gotten better over the years. The body looks decently molded. (Of course, the decals have always been good.) I have the FW23 kit, and it will take some work!

I'll be intersted to watch this one. (But poor JV! His finest moments did not come with this car/team. )

wow, it looks like Revell made a very good F1 car there, are those CF on the decal sheet (suspension, rear wing, etc...) or just black.

looks like a cool build

they are CF decals and very easy to work with and they are firly extensive in application there are some that are missing that would be nice such as the rear diffuser and such..

Re: Jacques Villeneuve 2006 BMW Sauber

The kit looks really good (for a Revell ). I always wanted to build a car Jaques drove... but I can't motive me the get this car since we all know how the bmw guys (basicly the Dr...) treated JV... And now look how Kubica gets his a** kicked my Heidfeld every weekend...

Anyway enough off topic can't wait to see more progress on this one!

Ps.: I want his WC car from 97 in 1:20

Re: Jacques Villeneuve 2006 BMW Sauber

Looks good JT. I just received my BMW F1.06 kit in the mail today, but it had a surprising amount of flash and even some ejector pins. Did yours have much of that? It shouldn't be a big deal after some sanding. I have built 5 Revell F1 cars and have yet come across that much flash.

Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on your progress as I plan to start mine soon.

not much flash or pin marks on mine, just a few pin marks on the lower suspension arms, the worst part i found is the air intake, other than that everything is pretty good

Re: Jacques Villeneuve 2006 BMW Sauber

Did you actually paint the markings on the tires (not the Michelin logos), or were they decals?
