Road Noise!!!!(p11)

This is for anyone that has replaced the factory bose amp with an after market amp. I didnt cut the factory harness off the amp i used splices to connect the speaker wires, anyways the works perfect. I have the pioneer 8100R radio, its loud now with the amp (BOSS rev-335). Well my ground is connected where the factory amp use to be on that metal plate, I bought the noise reducer and it still doesnt work. Can you guys suggest where else to put the ground wire. does it make a difference if the amp wire is running along side with the RCA wires or should one run on oneside of the car and the other on the opposite side.

well the power to the amp and the RCAs should be ran seprately since the power wire gives off noise...and also use a good solid ground...if your grounding to the chassis make sure that it is clean and naked metal...scrape paint off if there is paint for better contact...and also how did you figure out which wire goes to which speaker??? and also if you could the color code of the wired for each speaker...I also want to put a different amp for the interior...thanks

I think the noise you are hearing is alternator distortion noise, which will occur when you run power wires next to sound wires. Does it get louder as you accelerate? If so, then that is what it is.

WELL I RAN THE RCA WIRES ON THE OTHER SIDE AND THE AMP WIRE ON THE OTHER SIDE ALSO, THIS REDUCED THE NOISE ALOT BUT I STILL GET VERY LITTLE NOISE, IL FIGURE IT OUT SOMEHOW. ANYWAYS UPON FINDING THE COLOR CODE, ONCE YOU PEEL OFF THE BLACK TAPE COVERING THE HARNESS OF THE FACTORY AMP, THERE SHOULD BE BLACK TAPE AROUND FOUR SPEAKER WIRES. THE BACK SPEAKERS YOU CAN SEE THE WIRES AND THE COLOR OF EACH SO THATS COVERED. THE FRONT SPEAKERS AND THE TWEETERS ARE CONNECTED TOGETHER SO REALLY SO TAKE OFF THE PANEL WHERE THE TWEETERS ARE AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE COLOR CODED WIRES, THEY SHOULD IN THE REAR TOO. ALSO IN STEAD OF ROUTING A NEW REMOTE WIRE THERE SHOULD BE A WIRE THERE THAT THAT YOU COULD USE TO REPLACE IT JUST USE A TEST LIGHT TO FIND OUT WHICH ONE.

Well, even if you run the RCA's on the other side you will still get a little bit of noise because you are using the stock amps with the amp in the head unit. The only way to get rid of the noise totaly is to get rid of the stock amps completely
