grand prix gt overheating when ac is on
hey everyone i have a 2002 grand prix gt and 3800 series 2 when i turn on the ac the car starts getting hott over 210 about 220 and the other day it got so hot the temp light came on i had to turn off ac and let it relax for ten mix the i drove and it came back down to normal temp but both fans are on i just changed the thermostat and the temp colant sesor do u think u know what the problem is???

I dont think the fan is turning on. Could be a bad resister.

Check for debris between the radiator and a/c condenser. There may also be air in the cooling system form when you changed the CTS, coolant level sensor and t-stat.

Welcome to AF.
When was the last cooling system service (flush and anti-freeze replacement) and are you still running the original Dex-Cool? In most cases a good cooling system service/flush will take care of a problem where the engine gets hot with the A/C on even though the cooling fans are supposedly turning on.
