02 Sonoma Plug Wires
I tried to change the plug wires in my wfe's Sonoma 4.3L V6, but there are plastic clips that the wires run thru that are attached to a metal piece. I have tried sliding the clips off the metal band but this only worked with the first one on driver's side the others wouldn't budge. I also tried prying them open but I couldn't and I didn't want to force it open and break them like I did on my Saturn. How do you change the wires and keep the clips. There must be a way to remove and/or open the plastic clips without breaking them. Thanks in advance.

Re: 02 Sonoma Plug Wires
Take a small screw driver and on the end of clip with the lock on it hook in there and pry over a little and open up the lock.
They do break sometimes but a little practice on them helps. Check your dealer and see if he has one or two you can look at and practice on. MT
