Question 77 cheyenne too slow for me

well its not exactly slow once it gets going. the 350 big block in it helps a lot. but off the line it takes a while to get moving. i just need some advice to give it more acceloration. a lot of acceloration. more hp wouldnt hurt. so what parts should i tune up? what parts should i put in it?

How much do you want to spend?
How low do you want to make your gas mileage?
Remember big HP will be lower Gas mileage.
You can change rear end gears for fast take off.
But it will kill top end and gas mileage.
A good 5-6 speed transmission may be a good starter for you.
Do you us it for a daily driver or for long highway trips?

Your fighting against weight. I put a freshly rebuilt 350 horse 350 under the hood of a 76 and it was still slow because the trans was crap and it was just plain old heavy. If you want it fast gear it up and put it on a diet.

stop driving around with a full tank of gas haha, its a tuck man not a malibu or monte or trans am does the gas pedal go to the floor basiaclly when u " floor it from a redlight / full stop? " try using a shorter throttle cable not 2 short though, just so you know forsure your gettin full throttle , do you have bigger tires then stock... and yea some gears in the back would get that sob moving, hands down.
