Blinker flasher location?

I have a 99 XJ sport 4 door. I have had this problem for some time. started out with minor annoyances. Blinker wouldn't stay on, would flicker irratically, or even turn on y itself. I knew what it was but just didn't feel like dealing with it. Now I have had no turn signals for about two - three weeks. While I could care less, the people that are honking at me for not signaling lane changes are really getting annoying.
I know that is in fact the flasher, the 4 ways do work and it is just the blinkers. All bulbs work fine and the steering column (turn signal assembly) is intact and in good working order.
I have the part sitting in my cup holder, so it is just a matter of finding where to stick it. Normally I would just rip apart the car piece by piece until I eventually found and put everything back together, But I have no time.
