Blazer wont move no 2hi or 4x4

I have a 2000 Trailblazer model. It was having some issues with switching in and out of 4x4.. well i decided to drive it in Auto 4x4 and not a 1/8 mile later it wouldnt move anymore. When It's shifted to park it makes a grinding noise in that device connected to the front drive shaft. the lights on the controls are not lighting up at all soon after this happened.. no neutral no 2hi no 4 or nothing it will not light up nothing even when the key is turned on and off. the car is just not engaging into any type of drive i really need help. What could it be. Also a few days b4 it happened there was a strange clicking noise coming from under the passenger front kick panel.. could the auto 4x4 have messed up the computer? or is my transfer case screwed? I really need advice or ideas of what to do b4 having it towed away and costing a 1000 dollars or more ....

Welcome and hope you get the answers you need.
Yes, the TCCM or 4wd computer is in the kick panel so you have a problem with one of the actuators, sensors , the encoder motor, or TCCM. First step is go to the "How To" section and read the post on 4wd and as you do the quick step is pull the battery cable for 30 min and see if the TCCM reboots. Post covers most of the things to check. Let us know what you need after that besides that new Texas built Tundra!

Ok I will unplug the battery and prey it just goes back in to 2wd. but if it does not do anything how would i be able to tell if the actuator or anything else is bad??? has anyone ever heard of this problem??

ok the computer reset, i still dont get any lights on the 4wd controls no pre-start up lights or nothing. but one new thing i noticed is when i started it up it is making a click sound somewhere under the front where the actuater is i guess. like its trying to do something, this of course along with the other constant clicking its making in the transfer case where the front drive shaft goes in. I'm just guessing cuz there is no lights pre-start or nothing that perhaps a short took out the TCCM and the computer perhaps fried when it was trying to change into 4x4. I really dont have any cash to take this to the shop but if i know its just a simple computer i can do it myself. any help please...
