Th 700R4 TCC - 3 Wires

Hey guys...
I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out which wire does what here. The TCC on my transmission has 3 wires going to it. With the ECM removed it no longer works, as expected. I want to route the TCC wiring to a switch so I can manually engage and disengage it. I need to know which wire is power to the TCC, which wire sends the signal to the computer telling it that the transmission is in 4th gear and which wire engages the TCC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Hanes manuals arent much help here.

Re: Th 700R4 TCC - 3 Wires

Pin A is +12v source.
Pin B is 4th gear switch (TH700R4).
Pin C is N/C
Pin D is Ground to Computer <- this is what the computer activates the TCC with.

Pin A should have 12 volts at all times, unless the brake pedal is pushed (the 12v source runs through a brake switch). Pin B tells the computer when the transmission is in 4th gear. If you're going to not run a computer, leave this one disconnected - or don't find anything to connect it to. Pin C has no wire. Pin D is the TCC solenoid ground - the computer kicks the TCC in and out by leaving this open (cuts out) or by grounding (cuts in).

You can get a special 4th gear switch to replace the one that's in the transmission (N/O vs. N/C), and run your "Pin D" wire direct to it (the switch will ground the wire through the switch when closed). All you have to do is run a power source to the TCC (the one you have now will do fine).

Re: Th 700R4 TCC - 3 Wires

I found this while searching the net before reading your response...

How come it looks like ground is connected from pin D to pin B if the transmission is in fourth. From this picture it apprears that if you ground pin B it will bypass the 4th gear switch and lockup anytime but if you ground pin D it will only lockup the TCC in fourth.
