Wierd sound

well my 91 5.0 GT is making a wierd buzz/ring sound from the rear. My Chrysler Van did the same thing and I was told it was the fuel pump. Could that be the case here?

If so... Should it be replaced or can it be fixed somehow? Any help is appreiceated, thanks in advance

If I replace it, I am going for more of a street car so ecnomics is nice. What would be my best bet to get performance and ecnomics in one.

Re: Wierd sound

Mustangs, Cougars, Thunderbirds always sound that way. The fuel pumps are notorious for being noisy. I would not worry too much about it. If the car still runs and rives just fine.
