Exclamation Mac Vs. PC



Ok, does anyone here use a Macintosh? If so why? I am curious to know. I have yet to see any debates on this. How about Linux? Anyone running that? I am trying to learn that right now. I would use it more often, but there are no drivers for my DSL modem.

The PC is nice and cheap to upgrade, change cards and I believe there is a lot more software available. The Mac has run its race I think and unless they start buiding PCs then they are finished.

Hope nobody else has the same avatar

but, I need to get one soon b/c the teacher of my class says to get a MAC. But I will be doing 3D animation soon hopefully and I was also told
that that ain't the way to go.

I was originally supposed to get a mac because I'm taking Graphic Design in college, but it's too expensive and I can't play any games on it. So I'm getting a pc.

I wonder why all them Graphic Design stuff is mostly Mac. I'm sure PCs can do whatever Macs can do.

hold down the alt key mac is a better computer then a pc its main downfall is the lack of software a 400mhz mac is equal to that of a 1.6 ghz pc as far as linux i love it use suse linux mac is acutlaly loosley based on a linux platform if your doing graphic work you should defintly go mac unless you have alot of time to wait on rendering

IMO Macs suck!

they're only good for 3D animation, graphics type stuff

so for %95 of people, PC is 100 times better

dude if you serious pc suck more then macs mac os is a much more stable platform then any windows platform trust me windows being a pos is how i make a living i have 3 computers on linux a g4 and a pc love them all but i get alot more probs out of my pc then the others

I use an i-MAC at work and a PC at home.
The MAC never crashs, its just locks up. On a very regular basis. and there is no reset button.
The CD Tray is all losse and floopy (the comp is about a mnth old), and keybourd is tiny, and funny shapped, the casing on the monitor dosnt fit right, and is a little loose. The mouse is just stupid! its too small to fit properly in my hand, and how the hell can you do anything with one button!.

The PC crashs, but when it does I dont have to pull the power plug out, I just hit the reset bottun, It has 3 mouse buttons, including a scroll whell, so I dont spend half the timing messing around finding shortcuts, and useing scroll bars.
The only thing the MAC does thats better is possibly have a clearer screen, and is boots up a little faster. THATS IT!
GIVE ME A PC ANY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's exactly why i said IMO, cause for other people PCs suck.... doesn't matter to me...
