Hood and fender alignment

I had a accident about a month ago. Right front got pushed in about 5 " - needed a whole new front end, anyway,

Just got my truck back yesterday from the body shop, new hood and right fender. The shop claims (I beleive them) that all the parts are direct from GM.

The gaps between the hood and both fenders and a good 3/8" of an inch, doesn't sound like much, but looking at these gaps is like looking at the grand canyon. Keep in mind, the left fender was not touched as is still factory.

Prior to the accident, the gaps were factory, about an 1/8" or so and looked perfect.

I told the shop that this alignment is not acceptable. He says he has to calll the GM rep to look at the truck to make a detemination. Maybe just a bad hood or the shop said the new radiator support bracket that spans the whole front width maybe to wide. I'm thinking this is the body shop's fault for not doing the correct alignment. They claim its the parts.

My question is does anyone know the tolerance allowed by the factoy for panel alignment?? It looks like the hood is not wide enough or the fenders are too far apart.

3/8" is way too large, period. Now they pass the buck to a dealer rep, who usually knows nothing about this type of problem, what is he going to do make intricate measurements of the sheet metal mounting points. Stay on top of this body shop and/or have the truck looked at by a second facility and I would hold up on payment by whatever means necesssary.
