tornado

i was watchin import tuners tonight and saw them talking bout puttin the tornado things inside of the performance intakes, sayin that it gave better gas milelage and better air/fuel. would this be worth gettin, or is it all a bunch of bs?

I know some guys here sayz it don't work, but I say that it does work 4 me, I went 2 Chicago recently and I have a Tornado and a K/N Filter>I've definitely noticed some gains in hp and I can definitely see the difference at the pump.
Plus it adds a nicer sound to the intake as the air starts 2 really stuff itself n2 da engine.

So, I don't know if it'll work 4 U, different strokes 4 different folkz,

who of you that say it's B.S actually own one? From what i see people who don't wanna pay 70 bucks say it's garbage people who own one(like me) will never take it out of their car. I used to top out 3rd gear at 95 mph. with the tornado it'll go to 102. my intake is much louder and the rpms increase more steadily at high revs.
when i put my intake on my check engine light would stay on because the air was too free flowing and my rpm would jump up and down at idle. I haven't had that problem since I got the tornado. I raced a kid with a 96 max 5 spd with intake and exhaust and every gear i'd pull on him at the last 500 rpm. i only got ahead by 1/2 a car but when we stopped to talk the only difference was the tornado.
you guys can disagree if you want but i'm sticking with my tornado

It's good 2 C some1 else wit a Tornado besidez me who knowz dat it really workz. I can tell U that my friendz have Max'z & I pull on dem>mind u not by a whole lot but U can C & feel da difference.
I agree wit P, it is a lil bit louder becauze it's startN 2 suck the air but once it swallowz it U really feel the kick, it'z almost like a CAI but it sits in the intake.
4 all U doubterz, spend yor $70 & C 4 yourself.
