Too Good to be true?

Hey guys and gals,

The person is asking $8500 for this 2005 GP GT (link below). Is this even worth my time to go and check out, since it seems to be too cheap for the low miles. I think these usually go for around 12K in New York City. Just wanted some advice. Thanks a lot.

Re: Too Good to be true?

If you buy anything off craigslist never agree to send money to anyone. There is so many scams going on, on that web site. It is sick. They just had it on our local news where somebody got scammed on there trying to buy a 4 wheeler.

Re: Too Good to be true?

Yeah those scams I've heard of many a times. This car is actually near me so I was thinking of checking it out, but the price seemed really low to begin with, which is why I was questioning how legit could this car be. Thanks for the heads up either way.

Re: Too Good to be true?

8500 is actually about right... even a GTP with 95000 on it would be lucky to get $10,000...

Re: Too Good to be true?

sorry all, i had a brain fart so to speak...i thought the mileage was 9,500 but of course it is 95,000...yeah big difference which justified the asking price...my mistake, but thanks for the responses anyways.

Re: Too Good to be true?

Hey that's a great buy! And the fella left his phone number to answer any questions. It looks like he's on the up & up.

KBB reports the pricing:
Excellent $11,060
Good $10,120
Fair $8,875

I think he has priced it more than fair and wants to get the car out of his hair before he moves.
