Honda Civic Rear Speaker Install
I need to put some speakers in the back of my 95 honda civic coupe. My question is how to remove the carpetish thing thats right there so i can put the new Speakers in . Thanks

Should be able to unscrew the speaker grills from the from inside of the trunk, then just push them up and you can get to the speakers to replace or upgrade them...hope this helps

thing is tho , when i bought the car , there were no speakers there . So i need to take the carpet thing out , cut two holes in it , so the speakers will be pointing out , instead of muffled under the carpet . ya know what im sayin?

Yes i just looked at the book for it, thier are a few clips on the bottom of the rr. deck, you'll have to release those clips to slide the cover out.You may want to mark the bottom of the cover thru the holes in the the deck itself since thats where the screws will go thru the deck into the speaker covers.....does that make sense???

Easiest way is to find the factory speaker grilles, either from Honda or from a junkyard. Then you don't have to remove the carpet thing (rear package shelf). Once you have the factory speaker grilles just find the center of the speaker hole (from underneath) mark it, then use a razor knife from the top and cut a hole a little bigger than the speakers. The factory grilles will hide all of this. The metal under the package shelf in the trunk will already have the 3 holes that are used to bolt on the factory speaker grilles.
