Cyl#2 missfire on 96 sportage

I replaced the coil packs, plug wires, and the spark plugs. I still am getting a missfire in cyl#2. I can not seem to figure this darn thing out and need this this vehicle for work. It seems to be worst at idle. I also noticed that the check engine light will come on at idle for this problem. Can anyone direct me in the right direction as to what may be going on with this thing? I am planing on doing new O2's next.

Re: Cyl#2 missfire on 96 sportage

I used a scanner to look at the O2's. What I found is strange to me. It seems that B1 S1 only reads voltage it idle. As soon as I touch the throttle the O2 drops to 0volts. Is there a ground wire that could cause this or maybe another sensor?

PLEASE HELP.

In the past I have had a problem with the harness for the coils. It is a separate piece and does not come with the coils. You might take your tester and sound the wires out whil twisting them to see if they make contact all the time. BTW there are two O2 sensors on my 2002 sporty.

Did you take a compression test of the problem cylinder and compair with the others yet? You might do that also.
