Cruise Control blues...

'96 Rodeo 4WD, 5 Speed. Cruise control does not hold speed. Switch works, shows cruise set and nothing happens. Brake lights are good. I hate to think about buying that module ($200.). Any trouble shooting suggestions are appreciated or does anyone have a spare module?

Thanks.

Re: Cruise Control blues...

Take a trip to a pick & pull or junk yard, or if you so really wish, you can come pull the one off my truck, I think I've used the cruise control maybe twice in 10yrs of owning the truck - every now and then, however, I'll turn it on for a few minutes to make sure it's still working.

Re: Cruise Control blues...

Tks. I'll see if there are any around here (Tucson, AZ), but probably will have better luck in Phx. Where are you located?

Re: Cruise Control blues...

Is the cruise vacuum operated? If so, check the vacuum line under the hood. If it's electric, check the connector.
