how should i mod it?

hey guys, im startin to save up some money to make my 87 go a little faster. its all stock exept for a bigger sunroof.... what i was going to do was get a intake and exaust and my dad said he might buy me a n02 kit. Im only 15 so new to the game but i love my mr2. I would love it if anyone told me brands of parts that are a reasonable price that would be great.

forget the NO2. Thats stupid, unless you;re planning on rebuilding the engine w/ stronger parts. I would say maybe intake, exhaust, and POSSIBLY a SC. But that would also be a lot of work.

Re: how should i mod it?

there really isn't much aftermarket for the mk1. The focus with that car is more on cornering than straight speed. That said, you'll get the most out of the car by improving the suspension. It isn't cheap to do though... I spent about $400/corner on the suspension in my mk1.

intake: I've always been a fan of K&N (but the ebay ones work as well)
exhaust: I build my own. If you have an exhaust shop that will build you a header-back exhaust. Try to find a TRD header and just have the back half fabbed for you.
