shipping a classic across the country

i found a 57 chevy 2 dr post that im interested in...problem is its in minnesota and im in connecticut. it a project car that probably hasnt rolled in about 20 yrs. all original but need a full restoration. any suggestions how to get it here and what shipping acar like that half way across the country would cost...is it worth it for a $1500 car in ok "restorable" shape? i know all the ins an outs of the car and what to look for...its the shipping that has me baffled. ive never bought from so far away. any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks in advance

There are many companys nationwide that specialize in this, I would be wary of buying this without seeing the car for floor and frame rust issues.

I don't have first hand knowledge of a good shipping company in Minnesota or what to expect as to cost but here is a link that lists quite a few MN shipping companies you could look into - I'd recommend looking them up in the Better Business Bureau just to make sure they are reputable.

I haven't personally shipped a vehicle before but I found this link to www.transportreviews.com. It was listed on www.classiccarandstreet.com. I looked at the site and appears they review all the different transporters out there and ranks them based on user experience. May help you find a reputable company. I hope it helps. Good luck
