I started this last night and got one done so far. I plan on finishing tonight. Let me know what anyone thinks.

Re: Headlight Mod

looks REAL good. I was never a gen 2 fan specifically because i didnt like how the headlights were colored. That looks badass.

Re: Headlight Mod

I LOVE it. The way you can see the mechanical nuts and bolts underneath is awesome. My friend did that do his stealth, and it was a day and night difference IMO. Keep the covers off, it's definitely a much more exotic look without them, imo.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm actually on my way to do the other one right now. I'll post pics of the finished product.

Re: Headlight Mod

94s is easy as pie. 95+ it aint happening without extensive work. Unless of course you swap to 94 headlights.

Re: Headlight Mod

yeah i was told 94 is easier because the light is glass unlike 95 which is lexan if im not mistaking, so trying it on a 95 isnt worth it, just switch to 94 headlights then do it?

in that case..anyone selling '94 headlights?

LOL actually I am. I got a set of pearl white 94s sitting in my parts car. Selling for $450 shipped.

As for why the lexans wont work its because the paint is actually on the inside of the lexan cover whereas the glass headlights have the "insert" painted.

Re: Headlight Mod

the Lexan lights would still be rather simple to do. all you would have to do is toss the light in the oven at a low temperature (200-225 F) for about 10-20 mins, open them up, let cool, sand down the painted inside, wet sand for finish, then reassemble.

Aerosul-->don't you live in Dallas? i do, i'm off I-30 and Sylvan by the main Post Office. shoot me a PM. i could easily help you do this to your headlights.

Re: Headlight Mod

I wish I read this erlier cause I would have done a write up. I was so excited that I went fast to get the other one done. It's raining right now so the pics wouldn't look good but I will take them later. I can tell you this though, read this writeup...http://www.moojohn.com/stealth/headlight/ And when you get down to this pic,

There's a little screw, It's kind of shadowed, but on that little green lip type thing, on the actual cover, if you unscrew that then the entire green cover comes right off. I also removed a couple plastic peices inside as well because they looked out of place... Stealthee is right, it's very easy for 94 owners. Pop it in the oven at 250 degrees for five minutes, then use a screwdriver to pry the glass cover off. Any more questions just ask.

Edit: I may even consider doing some others as well if anyones interested, for a price... not too much but I don't know yet. But if anyone wants this mod done to their headlights, PM me and if you wanna cover the cost of shipping+cost of the mod, I can do it for you.

Re: Headlight Mod

This is the EASIEST mod in the world. Gives hte best look to those glass headlights .

Just follow the directions (Im a 17 year old ( Oh woops 18 as of today) teenager) And I was able to do it pretty dang easily by myself . 225-225* in the oven... 5-10 minutes.. pull it apart.. Take out one screw.. pull it off and clean it al up and put it back on and your done

LOTS of sanding. A few people have attempted that and given up. He said he had like 10 hours worth of sanding and still didnt have all the paint off.

Re: Headlight Mod

I've got final pics up now. I am very pleased with how evil the front end looks now. Check it out...

And then here's one taken back in March... The old look
