Gas Mileage/modifications
Ok I know we all have thought about this with our Crown Vic's, Not the most fuel efficient vehicle in the world, Certainly ont the worst either. I thought a discussion could be beneficial for all of us to see what mileage others are getting, what modifications have been made to the vehicle/Performance parts etc. And driving habits.
Who Gets the best mileage? Who gets the Worst? Who Pays the Least? Personally, I am getting 15.6 City and 21.3 Hwy in my 2000 CVPI I have installed a K&N Filter, replaced the O2 sensors, Installed Bosch Platinum +2 Plugs. Most of my driving consists of stop and go traffic in the city. Highway trips are usually 300-600 miles at a time once a month at the moment Gas is $3.15 USD per gallon. |

Re: Gas Mileage/modifications
I have a 92, changed all oil to synthetic: Engine, Trans, Axle. Use a KN filter. boush +2 plugs.
Last I checked I got..... 25 MPG on city. (yeah I was amazed too.) Nobody believes me, until I show them. I havent done a highway run, but I think It would be much better. I actualy checked the distance online of a 25mile distance from point A to B. Topped off at a gas station (Point A) and drove 25 miles to another gas station (point B) and topped off again. And the gallons read 0.997. I was impressed. Til what milage do you call a car fuel effecient? |
