Bah, i knew at 220k something would go wrong
I have a 91 2.2 and i just recently put new calipers and brakes on my car. Well the one mounting bolt keeps sliding out. i cant seem to get it to tighten? i dont really want to replace my whole hub assembly is there anything else i can do?

Mounting bolt? Wha? What bolt are you talking about? The hub bolt? Get an air hammer.

There are two bolts used to hold the Caliper to the front hub assembly, one of the bolts seems to be stripped, lock-tight wont work on it. and i dont want to buy a new assembly unit for it. Im hoping i can maybe tap it or something, but idk. Any suggestions???

anyone have any ideas? i dont really knwo if the tap and dye would work on it. Lock-tight did not work on it. i lost another bolt already. Im just lost!

i had the same problem with the caliper bolts on my drivers side on my old 89 cav, go out and buy some high quality locktight..it works if you do it properly i guarantee it.. take out the pins and put a bead of it around the threads, tighten them up as best you can (try not to strip the nut since the locktite will make it near impossiblr to get off) put the tires back on and let it sit for about 1/2 hour to ensure it hardes...thus ends your problem, worked great for me
