205/40/17 rim 125/45/17 tire??

Will my 215/45/17 kumho ecstas fit on a 205/40/17 rim? Will I notice a visual difference?

im going to try and save you before slideways thrashes your ass, but there arent three measurments on an actual rim, only diameter and width, like say a 17x7....... yes a 7 inch rim will hold anything from a 195 to a 225 on the sentra in width the aspect ratio doesnt have anything to do with wheels...... a 7.5 inch rim will hold up to 235 but they rub on the sentra

width/aspect ratio/inner diameter on tires, rims are just diameter and width (17x7) you can either convert millimeters into inches and calculate the width or you can just stay within 2 sizes up or down from the stock size and you should be fine

again offset is a rim only measurement and yes 40mm will work on the sentra......i think its like anything between 36mm and 48mm or something

if you havent figured it out yet the hard way, 215/45/17 will be much too tall, your speedo will be off quite a bit, and your car will be slower.

215/45/17 is the stock size on the spec, i dont see how it would throw the speedo off

well then it wont but i was going by the size listed. 205/40/17 is a decent amount smaller than 215/45/17.

I kind of like the beefier yet still low profile look of the 215/45/17. Not only that, but I don't want to compromise the ride quality anymore than I already have.


Well, they didn't have the F*cking wheel or the alternative one I wanted. I have the worst luck with wheels, seriously... About 3 months ago, I ordered a set of Nexo's from wheel max. The guy said they didn't have any in stock and he would process my order if I wanted to wait 3-5 weeks, so I did. 5 weeks later, the guy said 3 weeks. Weeks after that, I finally just gave up and changed my order to some 7 spoke exels. I got all excited when I saw the UPS guy drive up. I was amped... I had waited so long for my wheels. I opened up the boxes, and instead of being gun metal, like I ordered.. they were hyper light. I was speechless. Called up wheelmax to get my gun metals... they were out of stock. By this time the guy really at least sounded like he felt bad and didn't want to lead me down a BS road again, so he told me he didn't know when they were going to get more wheels in. He even offered me 18's for the same price, but I have 4 new kumho ecsta 215/45/17s. 2 on my front tires, currently, 2 in my basement ready to roll. Then, I go to wheelnext.com and find these kobes, whick I LOVE. They called me a couple hours after my order was placed(today) and told me they did not have the wheels, or my alternative wheel, which looks similar. The guy gave me the usual 4-6 week timeline. I asked him if he could guarantee that and he dodged the question. At this point I was depereate, so I told them to take my order off and call me if they get either wheel. So after spending another hour or two searching for these kobes (after I found them the 1st time last night, when I spent 3 hours looking at wheels I didn't like) I finally found some at a site called wheel1010tires.com or w/e for 100 dollars cheaper. They are the exact same wheel as my alternative, which I think I like better. 17x7 gloss black 5 spoke. 21lbs, I think. I ordered them and a pair of "light weight performance" black lug nuts, lol. I'm expecting a call on monday telling me that the wheels are not in stock... please wish me luck. Here are the wheels I am hoping for... praying for:
