Alright, So as far as climate control is concerned, The fan setting only works when it is set to the highest mode. At any other setting, the fan behaves as if it was in the "off" position.
The Cycle dial woks fine (set it to upper vents, lower vents, windshield, etc). Checked fuses. I also have taken the unit apart, and looked at the dial (inside), everything seemed in order unless the grease (green in color) that they used inside the fan is a conducter (short circut?)... Other Info: I did spill coke on the unit once... and the buttons are still a little sticky (i'm getting around to cleaning it)... but it doesnt seem plausible that a little coke could have caused this. I've also recalibrated the unit. Any help is much apreciated

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
Yup, sounds like you ruined the switch with coke.

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
Well, it worked for a week or so after I spilled coke on it, and it still works on the high setting. If i ruined the "switch" with coke, what would you suggest i replace / trouble shoot?

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
Coke is acidic and corrosive, so it might have taken a little time to work. Since it's sticky, then it would have "stuck with it". I don't know how to troubleshoot, other than replacing it with a working unit. Suggest you get one from the junk yard.

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
If you are reffering to the actual dial (wich would have been coroded), I just took it apart and tested all the conductors... everything is in order, and it does not appear to have any sticky residue inside the unit. I'll stop by my local junk yard and see what I can come up with though.
Thanks for the help

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
Well, if it's not the switch, then the only other answer is it's the fan. It could possibly be the fan, but I would bet on the switch being bad because of the Coke. On the other hand, you might have shorted out the fan with the Coke too.....

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
likely culprit is the resistor block, since you only have the high speed.common problem for that condition and easy to replace. if you had the switch apart and everything was fine, take it apart again, clean the contacts and put die-electric grease back on it to prevent any corrosion.

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
thanks
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...QQcmdZViewItem A new blower resistor block seems to be the answer

Re: 97 Voyager Fan Setting Problem
Blower resistor , it is why it only works on high . The resistor is burned out for all speeds except high because high does not require the voltage to be stepped down where all lower speeds have to have the voltage reduced to the blower.
