94 Bravada Transmission problem

whats up guys, i have a 94 bravada, and just rebuilt the tranmission. Smart track on it also. The problem is, when shifiting from 1st to 2nd it takes forever, the timing is off. it just winds up till it shifts. any suggestions ?
