electrical problem please help

ok so i decided to hold off on my turbo engine till the winter when i have more time and money but after an engine swap and 3 fuel pumps i finally got my car running. Now the problem i'm having is when i turn on my headlights with the car off the gauges power up and the headlights come up really slowly and the lights don't come on. Then one day the car stalled out and there was no power anywhere, that weekend i pulled out the whole dash and checked all the interior wiring and the junction blocks were screwed. I pulled the wiring harness out of my parts car and both junction blocks were fine, so i just cleaned up the blocks and checked over the wiring and threw her in, i also cleaned every electrical connecter and relay in the car, ran a new alternator wire, ran the engine fuse block constant power wires to the battery. She ran great for a day and then she started screwing up on the way home from work, she started doing the whole thing over again and i just made it to my dads shop and she died out completly, she cranks sometimes and other times not at all, i've changed the ignition switch, put a relay in line with the main ignition trigger wire, changed the coil and ignitor and still nothing, so i was wondering if anyone could think of what to do next, shes ticking me off but i'm not giving up and letting her go

Re: electrical problem please help

alternator checks out at 85 amps(first thing i did about a week ago) brand new pickup coil, new ignition coil, but i think i find the problem, i pulled the back harness out from behind the seats along with the main wiring harness in the trunk, the tail light harness and relay\fuse block 2 and i discovered the main power wire for many things like headlights and heater on the passenger side was burnt out and theres a fusible link branching off to all the circuts that are giving me trouble tucked into the bottom of the fuse\relay block, so i'm going to replace the fusible link and the burnt connector and see where i go from there, if anyone else knows anything please let me know, thanks

Re: electrical problem please help

Im having a problem close to that ecept ive never drivin it LOL
Trying to get it running.
Ive got spark, got fuel to the rail, air filter is out so got air.
Ive heard that the side mount dist. tends to get satrarated in oil. The injector pluser is located in the dist. and shorts out and goes bad. has that happened to any one else?

Re: electrical problem please help

if you have an internal coil check that, and yes the seal dose go out and leaks a little oil sometimes. I had the same thing and it was because the internal coil got hot and cracked so all the fluid came out of it.

Also what year motor and is it turbo or not?
