98 Stratus ES Engine Codes

2.5L v6. Getting codes 108,113, & 123. Before getting these codes, went to crank car one day and cranked fine. 10min later went out to drive and engine had shut off. Tried cranking and engine just turned over. Replaced distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Finally got it cranking but idles erraticlly. Engine sputters like not getting fuel. Changed fuel pump and filter. No change. Now getting engine codes 108,123, and 113. All refer to high input to sensors. Does anyone know what they mean by high input and what could cause this. Friends have same engine in their car, getting same codes but theirs will only turn over. Was going to just replace these sensors that these codes refer to but don't want to put a lot of money into something that won't fix it. Figured since they are all showing at once it would be something else to cause this issue instead of just bad sensors. Any help would be appreciated, since this is my work vehicle and borrowing someones car isn't an option I like using. Thanks.

Re: 98 Stratus ES Engine Codes

I'd probably start by testing the TPS circuits. I'm not saying replace the sensor, test the circuits. The center wire on the connector, should the signal wire. Leave the harness connected, stick a straight-pin in the wire, take the reading off the pin, key on engine off, best to use a dmm. Rotate the throttle by hand, the voltage should rise smoothly from minimum to maximum. Let us know the readings. My first thought was a ground problem, but I have to do some testing.

If you don't want to do any testing, I'm not sure how to help. All three codes relate to engine sensors, look at the wiring diagrams, to see if these three sensors have anything in common. You go from there.

Re: 98 Stratus ES Engine Codes

Well, already ordered the sensors for it and replaced all but the tps sensor. Gonna check by using your suggestion before replacing it though. I appreciate the input. About ready for some C-4 though. haha.
