Making sure SLR wheel center decals don't fall off?

Hey, I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to keep the decals (already placed) on the SLR from going anywhere. I was thinking clearcoat, but I wasn't sure if that's a good idea. I have Tamiya clear-in-a-can, and the decals are Tamiya, but I cleared another (rubbish) model with Tamiya clear, and the decals weren't perfectly flat, and then they curled. Any suggestions, because I'm really working hard on this kit, and I REALLY don't wanna have it spoiled because I lost a decal on a wheel.

Use Tamiya acrylic clear from the jar ?

After my first Enzo lost two decals from the centercaps I used clear from a jar and made sure that the edges were coated before the top. I have not lost one since.

Thanks. I'll probably do that to my brakes too... at least the front ones. I just realized I lost the small Mercedes-Benz typing on one of the rear brakes >_<

If anybody has an extra for the SLR, that'd be groovy. I'll mail you a stamp, if that's what it takes.

Future, or a similar water based acrylic clear, is perfect for this application.
