68 Camaro Clutch Problem
I am converting my 68 from a small block to a big block. The problem is the
Lakewood Bellhousing fork is hitting the floor before engaging the clutch. The only one available is the 78-83 fits most gm's and they don't have any available for a 68. The bellhousing is aftermarket. Any help would be appreciated! |

Re: 68 Camaro Clutch Problem
Make sure you have the correct frame mounts. The big block frame mounts position the engine about 1 inch to the right of center which may give you enough clearance to disengage the clutch. If I recall Chevrolet did this to gain clearance at the steering box for the exhaust manifold.
