Red face Automatic Transmission, Olds Delta 88, 1988

My car has 212000 miles and still the original automatic transmission. I read somewhere that transmissions on these cars last at most 150000 miles. How many more miles I can get out of it? Ones it breaks it goes to a junkyard. Cost to overhaul is way above the car value. Any experience anyone would like to share with me? I Would appreciate.

JFTN, Don't know. My 1998 Olds 88 has 75K and sometimes downshifts with a big jerk. I changed the fluid/filter to no avail. So keep on going with your car and hope for the best.

Best Regards,
Stan
