Front Foot Barking Break Wire.

GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL

COULD ANY BODY HELP?

I HAVE RECENTLY DECIDED TO REPLACE THE FRONT CABLE WIRE CONNECTING THE FOOT PARKING BRAKE MECHANISM TO THE MED POINT WHERE IT IS CONNECTED TO A THREE HOLED PLATE FROM WHICH ANOTHER TWO CABLE WIRES CONNECTED TO EACH OF THE BACK WHEEL.

AFTER CONNECTING THE WIRE I FOUND OUT THAT THE WIRE IS ABOUT HALF INCH LONG AND WILL NOT HOLD WHEN THE FOOT BREAK APPLIED .

THE WIRE WAS PURCHASED FROM CHRYSLER DEALER FOR THE CAR ( DODGE G. CARAVAN 1996 MODEL.)

AM I CONNECTING THE WIRE WRONGLY TO THE MECHANISM?? ANY BODY COULD GUIDE TO THE CORRECT WAY TO MAKE THE CONNECTION, OR HOE TO SHORTEN THE WIRE.

Re: Front Foot Barking Break Wire.

There is an adjusting screw to take up the slack.
